We've been quite busy these last few weeks. Getting adjusted to life as a foursome has been challenging, but beyond rewarding. I finally feel like we are in somewhat of a routine. I went back to work (part-time to complete my maternity leave) Dec. 2nd. I was dreading it and cried most of that Monday, but honestly I am getting the best of both worlds right now. I absolutely LOVE part time and am so thankful for the opportunity to have such wonderful maternity leave and coworkers who are supportive of it.
Ellis is one SWEET/GOOD baby. Everyone warned us that we wouldn't get lucky the 2nd time (Isaiah was easy too) but she is even better than he was. Yes, I am ready for a 3rd :) Just kidding mom!
Baby girl will go down around 9:30/10 and she'll sleep sometimes until 6am and she's in her own crib. Transitioned her right at 2 months so JT and I could have our room back.
Growing girl- Ellis is just over 12lbs. She was 6.7 at birth. I call her a milk monster! I am so proud of myself for sticking through breast infections and trouble I had at first with breastfeeding. I gave myself the goal of Jan. 1st but now I know we'll last much longer than that. Not to toot my own horn, but I was miserable at first and was determined not to give up. Persistence has paid off... ok TOOT, TOOT! lol

Job news for hubbs
JT is now the interim General Manager for Centerplate @ KU. He recently got a promotion as his boss took a different job. The goal is for him to drop the interim part of his title after basketball season. He is such a HARD worker and nobody deserves it more than he does. I am so proud of him. He has his new desk all set up with some of his football stuff and loved that the first thing he wanted was more family pictures. His industry requires a lot of hours, but he works those hours gladly because he loves what he's doing. It gets difficult at times, I feel like a single mom, but I know that he loves what he's doing and that keeps me going too. It will get interesting now that I am back to work. We'll be required to work many of the same events which isn't good for our budget. Getting a babysitter to work extra hours isn't cool :) Wishing I lived closer to family and didn't feel guilty about asking for free babysitting help.
Mr. Isaiah is almost 2. I can't believe it. He is still VERY into balls, basketball and the Jayhawks. He also loves Curious George and The Fresh Beat Band and lately loving to color and work on wooden puzzles. He's been a trooper with all the change. A bit jealous at times, but nothing too bad. He is a handful, but we love it and love his growing learning personality. He's such a good big brother, always offering to buckle Ellis in her swing, cover her up with blankets and he tries to pat her head when she's crying. So adorable!!
We finally got around to painting the dining room. The red was too much and was really bugging me so we painted it a green color. We also got a new table- our old one was glass and we felt like it was too dangerous for kids. I also wanted one that was higher so little heads don't hit the corners :) Thank you NFM for offering your good no interest deals :)
