Rock Chalk Weekend!

By Friday afternoon I am usually really ready for the weekend. Unfortunately, working in athletics often times there's no such thing as a weekend. Last night was the 27th annual Late Night in the Phog. It was my 9th consecutive year of attending (not as a fan, but as a worker) There is so much thought and effort that goes into the night. I give major props to my co-workers for their work. As usual it was a success! I sometimes get jaded when it comes to my job and being a part of all things Jayhawk. Last night I felt so proud to be a part of it all. I have to remember not to take it for granted. Work should be fun, right?

Highlights from the night can be seen below.

I got to meet Victor Ortiz who is so much shorter than I thought, but he is so nice! I would have got a picture with him, but I don't want to be "that girl"

My favorite part of late night is of course the cheerleading performance. :) I was so proud of those kids...My old coaches Corey and Nami Stone have done such a great job with the growth of the program. The team is SO talented! Here's a little clip of one of my favorite girls, Sydney.

Tonight our football team takes on OU. 8:21 kick off time. Yikes...I will be so tired by halftime... Maybe Isaiah will want 2 cups of coffee today. :) It's going to be a LONG day, but ROCK CHALK!
